Today, learn to conjugate the verbs “að skrifa” (to write) and “að elda” (to cook) at the present tense.

Ég skrifa bréf. (I write a letter)
Þú skrifar póstkort á amman þig. (You write a postcard to your grandmother)
Hann skrifar vísindaskáldsaga bók. (He writes a sci-fi book)
Við skrifum í veggnum. (We write on the wall)
Þið skrifið í stílabókin ykkur. (You write in your notebook)
Þeir skrifa sjálfsævisagan þeirra. (They write their autobiography)

Ég elda máltíðin því að foreldrarin min. (I cook this meal for my parents)
Þú eldar vel. (You cook well)
Hann eldar indverskur maturinn. (He cooks indian food)
Það er sérgrein hans. (It is his speciality)
Við eldum saman fyrir frí aðila. (We cook together for the holiday party)
Þið eldið alltaf sama matinn. (You always cook the same meal)
Þeir elda, þegar þeir hafa tíma. En mest tíma, þeir borða tilbúna undirbúin matana. (They cook when they have time. But most of the time, they eat ready-prepared dishes)
